Are your mugs dishwasher safe?

Ceramic mugs with a kiln-fired design, yes, no reservations. Heat-reactive mugs, whose design appears with heat, should be washed by hand: the dishwasher's hot cycle eventually wears out the sensitive coating.

How much do they hold?

Our mugs come in the standard size for a large coffee or a morning tea. When a model departs from that format, the product page says so: the product page is always the final word.

How does a heat-reactive mug work?

The mug is black when cold; the moment you pour in a hot drink, the heat-sensitive coating turns transparent and reveals the design printed underneath. The effect is reversible and repeats with every use.

Can they go in the microwave?

Classic ceramic mugs, yes. Heat-reactive mugs and those with a metallic finish, no: the microwave attacks the surface layer and can cause sparks on metallic finishes.

Does it make a good gift?
