Which AirPods charging cases are compatible?

AirPods 1 and 2, AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro, each with its own shape. You choose your model on the product page: an AirPods Pro case won't close over a second-generation charging case.

Can I charge without taking the case off?

Yes, the charging port opening stays clear, and the silicone case lets wireless charging through on compatible AirPods models.

Is the charging LED still visible?

On the models made for AirPods Pro, yes: a front cutout leaves the indicator light in view. On AirPods whose LED sits inside, you can still see it when you open the lid.

Does the case stay properly closed?

The silicone hugs the charging case and holds on by friction alone; most models also add a carabiner so you can clip it to a bag. The lid still snaps shut exactly as it should.

Does the silicone hold on to dust?

A little, like any silicone. A quick rinse in warm soapy water, with the case slipped off the AirPods, brings it back to new in seconds.
