Do your lamps run on mains power or on batteries?

It depends on the model: the 3D night lights recharge through a USB cable and run for several hours unplugged, while wall-mounted LED neon signs stay plugged into an outlet at all times.

Is the light soft enough for a night light?

Yes, the 3D night lights spread a soft glow through an engraved acrylic panel, and most of them offer several colors as well as a brightness setting controlled by remote or by touch.

Do the LEDs get hot?

Very little, and that is the advantage of this technology: the surface stays lukewarm to the touch even after several hours. So a night light can be left on all night long in a child's bedroom.

How do you mount an LED neon sign on the wall?

The acrylic panel is drilled at the corners and comes with its screws and wall plugs. On a lightweight partition wall, or to avoid drilling at all, adhesive mounting strips work well for the lighter models.

How long do the LEDs last?

Several tens of thousands of hours, far beyond the lifespan of the rest of the object. It is usually the cable or the switch that gives out first, not the diode.

When the ceiling light gets too harsh for the end of an evening, there are still two ways to light a bedroom. Eighteen lamps split into two families with nothing in common. On one side, twelve night lights in crystal ball form at 49,90 €, laser-engraved in 3D and set on an LED base that spreads a soft, colorful light. On the other, six LED neon signs, from 39,90 € to 113,90 €, mounted on a cut-out acrylic panel.

The laser engraving works the inside of the glass : the Pokémon appears in 3D at the heart of the ball, and you have to turn the base on before it really shows. Blastoise, Giratina, Dragonair, Entei and Snivy each have their own; Umbreon and Espeon share the same sphere. This is the bedside object par excellence, the one you leave on without even thinking about it.

THE POKÉMON LAMP'S LED TUBE FOLLOWS CHARIZARD'S SILHOUETTE 🐉

The neon signs work differently: a flexible LED tube is bent into the shape of the subject, then fixed onto a cut-out acrylic panel. Charizard rises with wings spread in glowing red, claws and flame in white. Gengar emerges from the dark in purple, red eyes and a toothless grin. The Poké Ball, for its part, is stripped to the essentials, a red arc on top, a white arc and button below.

The neon signs mount on the wall with the screws and spacers included, or simply stand as they are. Compact format of about 20 cm, powered by a simple USB port with a switch on the cable: no transformer to hide behind the furniture. Above a desk, this is what gives you the glowing backdrop you see in setup photos.

For a child's bedroom, the ball wins: it lights up the room without hurting the eyes and helps them find their bearings at night.
