A screen-free evening takes a little planning, and a puzzle is something you pick out beforehand. Our Pokémon puzzles are laser-cut plywood, from 108 pieces up to 1000 pieces, between €29.90 and €63.90. The piece count decides everything: an hour for two on a Sunday, or three evenings spread out on the living-room table.

Thirteen designs, one kind of object, wildly different play times. Sizes run from the 108 pieces for a first go, up to the 1000 pieces that fills several evenings, with the 200, the 300 and the 500 in between. The price follows the piece count, from €29.90 to €63.90, and every model comes in its own illustrated box.

EEVEE SITS AT THE CENTER OF ITS EIGHT EVOLUTIONS 🌈

Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon fan out around it, each one on its own color panel outlined in black like stained glass. Other designs go for the crowd: Pikachu with arms flung wide in the middle of some thirty starters on a yellow grid background, or a shopping street strung with balloons where Togepi, Feebas and a dozen others file past. A more graphic design puts Pikachu, Squirtle, Gengar and Bulbasaur in close-up on flat yellow, turquoise, purple and green blocks, crossed by the POKÉMON logo in puffed-out lettering.

WOOD, NOT CARDBOARD 🪵

The pieces are laser-cut plywood, with a laminated full-color print. You feel the difference the first time you scoop up a handful: the piece has real thickness, it holds its shape between your fingers and won't bend when you press on it a bit. There are two thicknesses depending on the model, 1.2 mm and 2 mm.

CHOOSING YOUR POKÉMON PUZZLE BY PIECE COUNT 🔢

The format decides the rest. The 108 pieces gets finished in a single sitting with a child, the 300 fills a rainy afternoon, the 500 already asks for real room on the table. Above that, the 1000 turns into a living-room project you leave half-built and come back to.

THE 1000-PIECE POKÉMON PUZZLE LASTS SEVERAL EVENINGS ⏳

It's the most concrete argument in the section, an object you can't burn through in ten minutes. You start it alone in the evening, someone sits down, then a second person, and the artwork of Pikachu leaping with his "Pika!" speech bubble or the evolutions from Charmander up to Charizard come together with several pairs of hands, without anyone turning on a screen. The solo designs, Sylveon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon or Leafeon each in their own colorful setting, work just as well for an afternoon break.
