Gyarados

FAQ - Gyarados

How does a Magikarp become a Gyarados?

Just by leveling up, at level 20. The contrast between the most useless Pokémon in the game and one of the most devastating is still one of the franchise's best jokes.

What Gyarados products do you offer?

Lunch bags, plush toys, duvet covers, keychains, caps and accessories. Around ten items in all.

Is Gyarados a Dragon type?

No, it is Water and Flying type, which often comes as a surprise given how it looks. It only turns Dark in its Mega Evolution.

Does the red Gyarados really exist?

Yes, it is the Shiny Gyarados of the Lake of Rage in the second generation, the first Shiny Pokémon most players ever meet. It shows up on some of the artwork in this section.

Which Gyarados product for a bedroom?

The duvet cover, which shows off the length of its body, and the long plush that can double as a bolster. The deep blue works beautifully as decor.

Pokémon Duvet Cover - Charizard and Blastoise

You've probably left a Magikarp sitting in your party until it hit level 20, so you know better than anyone what a Gyarados is worth once it rises out of the water. Here's what this section gives it: ten pieces from 14,90 € to 109,90 €, spread across seven product types.

OUR GYARADOS 🌊

Ten pieces across seven different types, from 14,90 € for the acrylic keychain to 109,90 € for the largest duvet cover. That's not many pieces, but the section touches on everything: the bedroom, the bathroom, the beach, your keyring and the wall above your desk.

MAGIKARP TAKES THE HITS, GYARADOS SETTLES THE SCORE 🐟

Two plushies at 43,90 € are the heart of the section, the classic version of the Water/Flying sea dragon, and its red Shiny version, the one players have been hunting since the Lake of Rage. The second is the piece collectors come looking for first.

THE WATER SECTION, FROM BATH TO BEACH 🏖️

The Pokémon Swim Shorts - Gyarados, at 49,90 €, feature the monster with its jaws wide open on a blue background, in quick-drying fabric with a drawstring. The Beach Towel in the same design comes in six sizes, from 50 x 100 cm to a two-person 140 x 180 cm, in absorbent microfiber that doesn't hold on to sand.

Two lunch bags at 29,90 € round out the outing, in aluminum-lined insulated canvas, with a gym patch in the style of Silver Gym and Water Gym, vintage 1999.

ACRYLIC, MICROFIBER AND STRETCHED CANVAS GYARADOS 🧵

Each type has its own material, and you'll want to know that before you order. The keychain is translucent acrylic cut to shape, with the print set into the material and a metal clip. The poster is a 20 × 30 cm stretched canvas with no frame, in light-resistant inks, printed like a manga page.

The two duvet covers, between 69,90 € and 109,90 €, aren't solo listings: the giant appears there among Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur on one, Lapras and the other Water Pokémon on the other. Worth knowing before you click.

WHICH ROOM IN THE HOUSE DESERVES YOUR GYARADOS? 🏠

For a safe gift, the plush; to dress a whole bedroom, the duvet cover; for a small treat, the keychain at 14,90 € or the manga canvas at 16,90 €. The sea serpent comes in enough sizes to slip in just about anywhere.

From useless Magikarp to sea serpent: our collection devoted to Gyarados celebrates the most spectacular evolution in the Pokédex.

On the Water Pokémon side, there's also Squirtle and Blastoise.
